Born and raised near some of Ethiopia’s most renowned historical sites, Belay has always felt a strong connection to the country’s rich heritage. His academic background and field experience have equipped him with profound knowledge of major sites such as the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, the obelisks of Axum, the castles of Gondar, and the spiritual monasteries of Lake Tana.
